Rina Koike will be appearing in the stage version of Steins;Gate. She’ll be playing Mayuri Shiina, childhood friend of the main character. Her character according to TV Tropes: The Cutie, Cosplay Otaku Girl, Gamer Chick, Genius Ditz, The Heart, and Incorruptible Pure-Pureness. She also has an adorable hat. Sounds perfect for Rina.
Steins;Gate was originally a visual novel/game released for XBox 360 in October 2009. It sounds like a lot like 999, but maybe with less nightmare fuel. It’s also been adapted as manga, drama CDs, internet radio show, a board game as well as an anime TV series and movie. So I guess it’s kind of a big deal. Awesome!
The play will run from October 12-20, 2013.
