I don't know much about Japan but is it possible the pics in Kasai Tomomi’s photobook are considered "normal" to Japanese culture? Maybe not normal but not really controversially. I know some countries are far more lax in censorship norms so I'm wondering if that's the case here.

I assume that’s the case.  And I’d really like to not worry about it - like I said, the (cis)male/female topless double standard annoys.  But it’s difficult to unlearn my heaps and heaps of Catholic guilt.

And there’s the added complication that although both pics are totally fine in Japan (or at least less taboo), I don’t know if in America, someone could make the case for them being… illegal.  So I’d prefer to err on the side of caution.
