Keiko Kitagawa as detective in new Fuji TV Summer Drama “Tantei no Tantei”
This will be her first lead drama role since Akumu-chan, two and half years ago, and also first time she act as detective. The story’s based on same titled novel which the author, Matsuoka Keisuke, also step in as screenwriter of the drama. It’s about Sasaki Reina (Keiko Kitagawa), a detective who risk her life chasing another detective to revenge her deceased sister. Since it’ll be full-scale action, Keiko has been practicing kick boxing since 1 month before shooting.
I just want to note this is not Keiko’s first role as a detective (Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de, Hero, and LADY come to mind), but this does seem to be a role that mercifully moves away from casting Keiko as an ingenue, which is excellent.
