- Sailor Luna did not appear in the manga or original anime. However, Luna did take human form in those continuities. Sailor Moon creator Naoko Takeuchi helped with the design of Sailor Luna.
- The sequence Luna entered into the Lunatia L was 6-7-2. Six = roku (“ru” as in Luna), seven = nana (“na” as in Luna) and two = ni (“neko”, meaning “cat”).
