- Sailor Jupiter’s planetary namesake is known for its turbulent weather and storms.
- Jupiter was the god of the sky and lightning in Roman mythology.
- Makoto’s ponytail was curlier and more stylized when she transformed into Sailor Jupiter.
- She was the tallest of the Sailor Senshi in this series.
- Unlike her manga and anime counterparts, this Sailor Jupiter did not have a lightning rod in her tiara.
- Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus were the only guardian Sailor Senshi to wear unique chains around their waists. However, Jupiter’s Rose Belt was never used as a weapon or as part of a finishing move. While Jupiter did not not wear it in the original manga release, it was added in the reprint.
- Despite launching a kamikaze attack against Queen Metalia’s youma in Act 35, Sailor Jupiter survived with minimal injuries. This could mean that she was at least partly immune to her own electricity-based powers.

- She was the tallest of the Sailor Senshi in this series.
- According to Act 31, Makoto disliked potatoes.
- Unlike her manga and anime counterparts, this Makoto often wore her hair down, or she stylized it differently from her trademark ponytail.
- She was the first of the guardian Sailor Senshi to be engaged to be married. She accepted Motoki’s proposal in the Special Act.
- As shown in Act 21, Makoto had the ability to communicate with trees. This was likely due to Sailor Jupiter’s element being wood.
- While her corresponding character in the first anime exhibited a strong interest in boys, the live-action Makoto generally refrained from dating after the events of Act 6. She later felt the need to postpone her own happiness in order to fulfill her duty from her past life. This caused difficulties in her budding relationship with Motoki.

- She is compared to another all-powerful and destructive Sailor Senshi, Sailor Saturn. However, Saturn still had regard for the well being of the other Sailor Senshi, and she would only destroy the world in order to stop an ultimate evil. Princess Sailor Moon was dedicated to simply getting Prince Endymion back, and she did not care about the safety of others.
- As seen in the Final Act, Princess Sailor Moon was telekinetic, and she could create youma.
- Princess Sailor Moon’s inclusion can be viewed as a variation of the “power-up” story sometimes seen in various tokusatsu series: a prominent character receives a great power advancement. An example would be Kyoryu Red in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger acquiring the ability to become Kyoryu Red Carnival.
