Chieko Kawabe’s best known single from “Brilliance,” “Candy Baby.” This video also has really distracting subs, but it’s the clearest video available that isn’t a fandub. Why would you dub over Chieko’s awesome vocals, idiots of the internet? You want to do a cover, fine, but don’t dub it over the video. It makes my job difficult. :P

Chieko Kawabe began her career at the age of twelve, starring as Sailor Mercury in the Sailor Moon Musicals, Sera Myu. According to Wikipedia (the most reliable of sources):
She started in 2000, in the Fan Kansha event for the 2001 musical, Transylvania no Mori, Kaiteiban. She continued for a couple more years, appearing in five musicals total, finishing with the 2002 special musical, 10th Anniversary Special. During these musicals, she appeared in some of the more special musicals, including the Death Vulcan special revue show, the second half of the musical being an entire musical revue showing, and the first Sera Myu DVD, the 2002 10th Anniversary event. She also appeared as a musical guest for the next Fan Kansha, performing signature solo song, “Drive Me the Mercury” with the next Mercury actress, Wakayama Manami.

In 2010, Chieko Ochi made a depressingly short return to the world of modeling to be featured in Stardust’s “Actress Make-Up II” photobook. She appeared in the book with Keiko Kitagawa. Chieko’s since been taken off the talent list on Stardust’s website, which makes it pretty clear that she decided not to go forward with the entertainment aspect of her career. :(

hi, just curious, do you know if any of the girls have gotten plastic surgery, particularly the eyelid surgery?
I’ve gotten this question a few times before and not answered it, but since it’s very likely I’ll keep getting it, I should probably put this out there.
I have no idea if anyone from PGSM has had any plastic surgery.
I will say, only because it’s easily googled, that there are many rumors about Keiko having multiple procedures, including eyelid surgery. You can google it if you want to know more, but I wouldn’t bother. These conversations seem to want to prove that Keiko’s looks aren’t “real,” therefore her beauty is not “real,” therefore she has no value as an actress, model, or a human being.
Honestly, I don’t care if any of them have had any procedures, and I don’t feel the need to comment on it. My one exception is when people say Ayaka Komatsu has implants, not because breast enhancement is terrible, but because it’s just demonstrably untrue.
(Btw, after rereading that old post of mine, I realize parts of it are pretty judgmental and shaming. I’ll go back and edit that presently.)
Anyway, I don’t want to comment on plastic surgery at all, but that’s particularly true when it comes WOC and eyelid surgery. I’m white and from the United States; this should explain my reticence, but in case it doesn’t, I’ll elaborate.
Several websites (Jezebel) have tried to report on eyelid surgery in Eastern countries. I’m not comfortable with that. White, Western women, no matter how intelligent they are or how much they’ve researched, can never really understand what it’s like to be a WOC in Japan, South Korea, or the U.S. for that matter.
So I guess my final word on the topic is that this is my final word on the topic.

Miyuu Sawai is going to be appearing in Ore no Butai, a new play...
Miyuu Sawai is going to be appearing in Ore no Butai, a new play presented by Gekidan Taishuu Shousetsuka. It will run from April 13-21, 2013.
You’ll probably recognize other people in the cast from other tokasatsu dramas, including: Masahiro Inoue (Kamen Rider Decade), Yuria Haga (Kamen Rider 555 and Master of Thunder with Ayaka Komatsu), Kohei Murakami (Kamen Rider 555), and Marie Kai (Kamen Rider OOO).
You might also recognize Tomohisa Yuge, who has appeared in Paradise Kiss, Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de, and LADY ~Saigo no Hanzai Profile~ with Keiko Kitagawa.
